Roger Williams Park Zoo's new polar bear cub finally has a name. In a special Mother's Day weekend celebration on Saturday, May 12th, the Zoo revealed the winning name is KOBE.

The polar bear cub was born in November 2000 and made her exhibit debut in April. Since her debut, the Zoo has hosted tremendous crowds - 51,000 during April school vacation week alone. Cub lovers have also flocked to the Zoo's web site where a new 'cub cam' gives visitors a chance to see the Zoo's polar bears 24/7.
